My Services < Custom Product Designs

At the moment, I can create almost anything you can think of, from seamless patterns to illustrations on packaging. I can aid you in making your vision come to life.

What kind of product designs can you create?

A seamless pattern offers so many possibilities! You can choose to buy a license from one of my existing patterns (check out the store link here), or you might like to have me create a custom design just for you. For that, you can opt for a temporary license to use on items like blankets, shirts, water bottles, and more. If you love the pattern and want to use it endlessly, there's also the option to purchase a perpetual license or even the copyright. The possibilities are endless!

What can I do with a seamless pattern?

I can’t give a straightforward answer to this question, as it all depends on how complex your creative vision is. But I can give you some loose examples.

For a more simplistic illustration in black and white (like the plant design on the left), the flat rate would be about $65. If you were to ask for revisions after completion, about an extra $10 would be added on top of the flat fee (This doesn’t include the license. I go into more detail on licensing below).

Now, let’s say you want a more painterly design, in color, and turned into a seamless pattern. Depending on the complexity, the flat rate can be anywhere from $85 to $250. If you decided that you wanted revisions after completion, it could cost about $25 to $40 extra.

Please keep in mind that a final version will not be worked on until you view and approve thumbnails (sketches) of the design beforehand, which will prevent any need for revisions.

What are your rates?

Of course! Let’s say that you have had an idea for a really cool hat with a fish embroidered on it. You commission me to design the fish, you buy a license from me, and you take the finished design to your manufacturer of choice to make the hats. Now you have products to sell! Or you can even have one made just for yourself, and now you have your own personal custom hat.

Can you create an illustration for me to print and sell on a product?

Before booking me, I do require that I have a minimum 30-day notice before the event. Any last-minute notices will be charged a $30 expedite fee.

Once we have gone through the booking process, all that I require is a 6ftx6ft space to set up and work in, and access to a restroom! I have all of the equipment and supplies I need :)

What are your requirements?

We will have a consultation to discuss your needs: hours needed, distance, budget, etc. Once we have gone over the details, I will be sending you a contract, which, once signed by us both, I will be sending an invoice. This invoice will be a deposit of 25% of the combined total hourly rate. This invoice will be due upon receipt to secure the date of your event. The remaining amount and any travel fees will be due 2 weeks before the date of the event.
In case of cancellation of your event for any reason, I will retain the deposit.
If I have to cancel before your event for any reason, the deposit, on top of any other fees, will be returned to you.

What to expect

There are a variety of options available for your needs. It all depends on how long you would like to have the rights to use the artwork for, how many products you plan to produce with the design(s), if you would prefer to pay out royalties to me rather than pay a full flat fee for the use, if you exclusively want to be the only person allowed to use the design, etc.

A one-year license can cost anywhere from $100/year to $650+/year. It all depends on what you plan to use the artwork for, how many products you plan to produce, and what your needs are.

If you wanted to own the copyright to the artwork indefinitely, the license could cost anywhere from $2,000 to $6,000+, depending on if you want local vs worldwide rights and if you are wanting a full copyright to the artwork or just want to buy a perpetual license with agreed upon conditions.

What licenses do you offer, and how much are they?
