How do you create your portraits?
I use black and white chalk pastels to create a portrait on gray mid-toned paper within a 20-minute time constraint. When I draw somebody, I like to focus on bringing life to the eyes of the person; after all the soul is in the eyes right?
What kind of events do you do?
Almost any kind of event you can think of! Whether it’s for a birthday, a wedding, a grad party, or any other sort of celebration, I will gladly do my part to make your event that much more memorable for you and your guests.
What are your rates?
I have two different rates for you to choose from:
1) I charge $115/hr if I am to create portraits free of charge for the guests.
2) I charge $35/hr if I am to sell my portraits to your guests. I will charge them $10/portrait, either in cash or card payment.
Do you charge for travel?
If you live within 35 minutes of Rohnert Park, CA, then there is no travel fee! Anywhere outside of that radius will be charged $ 0.78 per mile. I am currently only servicing within a 50-mile radius of Rohnert Park, but I hope to travel further in the near future!
What are your requirements?
Before booking me, I do require that I have a minimum 30-day notice before the event. Any last-minute notices will be charged a $30 expedite fee if I am available to approve your event.
Once we have gone through the booking process, all that I require is a 6ftx6ft space to set up and work in, and access to a restroom! I have all of the equipment and supplies I need :)
What to expect
We will have a consultation to discuss your needs: hours needed, distance, budget, etc. Once we have gone over the details, I will be sending you a contract, which, once signed by us both, I will be sending an invoice. This invoice will be a deposit of 25% of the combined total hourly rate. This invoice will be due upon receipt to secure the date of your event. The remaining amount and any travel fees will be due 2 weeks before the date of the event.
In case of cancellation of your event for any reason, I will retain the deposit.
If I have to cancel before your event for any reason, the deposit, on top of any other fees, will be returned to you.
Can you do a portrait with more than one person?
Unfortunately, due to the size of the paper and the 20-minute time limit per portrait, I can only do one person per portrait. If anyone would like to commission me privately outside of the event for different kinds of portraits, I will happily coordinate with them.
